About Government Medical College Badaun
Government Medical College (GMC) Badaun, is a Government Medical College established by
the Govt of Uttar Pradesh. The hospital services started in 2015 and MBBS course with annual
intake of 100 students started in 2019.
It is located on the Bareilly Mathura highway 4 km towards Ujahani. It is well connected by Rail & Road,
the nearest airport is Bareilly, City has railway station 4 kms and bus stand 4 kms away.
Big towns in the vicinity are Bareilly (50 km), Agra (160 Km), Mathura (160 km) each, Aligarh
120 km and Delhi (220 Km). The college has a huge unitary campus area of 106 acres.
Badaun city is known for its Jama Masjid which is one of the largest Masjid build by Iltutmist. Two
holy places on the banks of river Ganga - Kachla Ganga Ghat (25 Km) and Soroji (35 Km).
It is the birthplace of famous saint of India Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. It has produced many
famous literary figures like Shakeel Badayuni.
In MBBS four batches are studying 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. The 2023 batch admissions have started,
and we shall very soon have the students of that batch too. In addition to MBBS we have DNB
Diploma courses in department of paediatrics, BSc Nursing and paramedical courses too.
Accommodation in the form of Girls Hostel, Boys Hostel, Senior Residents, Nurses, Faculty and staff are
available.
The college has all facilities as per NMC Norms. The process of starting Post Graduate courses in other
disciplines is also in the process.
GMC Badaun played a vital role in combating the Covid 19 Pandemic. Capacity building and augmentation of
the services are under way like installation of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) plant, CT Scan, MRI.
